WAT HEEFT DIT JAAR VAN DE VARKEN VOOR ONS IN PETTO?
Het is nu tijd om onze Westerse oordelen over het Varken
overboord te gooien!
Laten we een begin maken door dit prachtige dier in het licht
te zetten en daardoor positieve vibraties de wereld in te sturen.
Ze verdient het.
Dit vrijgevige dier wil ons vreugde en een overvloed van
goede dingen in ons leven brengen. Ze wil dat we vrolijk zijn en
dat we genieten van dit geweldige jaar.
Het Jaar van het Varken is speciaal, deels omdat het beschouwd wordt als een jaar van Overvloed en deels omdat het een unieke plek
in de Chinese Hemelse Kalender inneemt.
Wat dit jaar bijzonder maakt over Jaren van de Varken is dat het Varken de 12e teken van het dierenriem is. Het Varken komt altijd op het einde van de lange, 12 jarige cyclus dat meer dan een decennium ( 10 jaar) geleden begon met de energieën van de Rat.
Op het moment dat het Jaar van het Varken weer komt, hebben we echt genoeg gehad. We hebben jaren hard gewerkt, jaren van inspanning en strijd leveren, en we voelen aan, dat het nu tijd is om te ontspannen en de vruchten van je arbeid te plukken. Er is een einde van het schooltijd gevoel!
Dus, waar kiezen we voor? Een eetbak vol gouden mogelijkheden, of een jaar in een vieze stal?

This generous animal wants to bring joy and an overflow of good things into our lives. She wants us to be cheerful and enjoy this great year. The Year of the Pig is special partly because it’s regarded as a year of ABUNDANCE and partly because of its unique place
in the Chinese celestial calendar. The great thing about Pig years is that the Pig is the twelfth sign of the zodiac. The Pig always arrives at the very end of the long, twelve-year cycle which began over a decade before, with the energetic sign of the Rat.
By the time the Year of the Pig comes round we’ve had enough. We’ve put in years and years of hard work, years of effort and struggle, now we can sense it’s time to ease up, sit back, and hopefully enjoy the fruits of our labours. There’s an end of term feeling in the air. That last day of school euphoria.
Now it’s true that, here in the West, the Year of the Pig may not sound an appealing prospect – but according to Chinese lore, our unthinking prejudices are completely wrong. In fact, Pig years are particularly welcome in the East as they’re believed to usher in a time of plenty.
So what will 2019 bring to you?
Will the cheerful Pig present you with a trough full of golden goodies?
Or could you end up wallowing in a grubby sty?
